symbiont vs ("the App") is a macOS application ("we", "us", "our") for controlling and managing the KORG volca sample 2 via MIDI. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data.
symbiont vs operates entirely on your local device. The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, usage data, analytics, or diagnostics.
MIDI Communication
The App communicates with the KORG volca sample 2 hardware via USB-MIDI using macOS's CoreMIDI framework. All MIDI data is transmitted directly between your Mac and the connected hardware device. No MIDI data is sent to any external server.
File Storage
Project files (vlcspllib format) are saved only to locations you explicitly choose through macOS file dialogs. The App does not access files outside of your selected locations.
In-App Purchases
symbiont vs offers an optional one-time In-App Purchase ("Pro Unlock") processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or transaction details. For information about how Apple handles purchase data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the App collects no data from any user, it is safe for use by individuals of all ages.
